Dear Will/ウィルへ

March 2020

For this piece, I took letters I had sent and created replicas of them through weaving and embroidering. Snail mail, now rarely used, has special sentiment; it takes far more time and resources than simply typing out a text or an email. Weaving and embroidering is a long and laborious process. This is the care and love I have for “Will.” This “Will” can be anyone, meaning it could be a partner, friend, family, or something more complicated to others. Whoever this “Will” may be, this piece is the embodiment of my and others’ care for them.
